Summary

The FAS Fire Door Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is a halogen-free, polymer-based intumescent acrylic sealant engineered to seal perimeter gaps between walls and fire door frames. Available here in orange, it is suitable for fire door installers and passive fire protection contractors requiring a tested, certified sealing solution. It provides up to 120 minutes of fire resistance and also delivers acoustic performance of up to 55dB Rw.

Features

• Provides 30-60 minutes fire resistance for gaps up to 5mm without backing material
• Extends to 30-120 minutes fire resistance for gaps up to 25mm when used with FAS Fire Door Foam or stone mineral wool
• Smoke leakage tested to BS EN 1634-3: 2004
• Fire tested to BS 476: Part 20 and 22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2014
• Certifire Approved (CF5840)
• Acoustic rated to 55dB Rw for sound reduction performance
• Halogen-free formulation; expands under heat above 125degC to form a fire-resistant char
• Flexible up to 12.5% joint movement after curing; can be overpainted with most paints
