Features

• Heavy duty design for lateral (horizontal) restraint of roof trusses, rafters, and floor joists tied into masonry walls
• Pre-galvanised mild steel with edge coating for corrosion resistance
• Bent at 100mm - bend should be positioned at the centre of an uncut block or brick
• Downturn held tight against the cavity face of the inner leaf of blockwork
• Fix to timber members using a minimum of 8 no. 3.75 x 30mm square twist nails
• Where fixed to masonry, use hardened nails (dia 4mm x 75mm) or wood screws into plastic plugs (dia 5.5 x 50mm)
• Horizontal lateral restraint straps to be spaced at no more than 2m centres
• Complies with Building Regulations and BS5268 Part 3
